WILL THE REAL
CHRISTIAN PLEASE STAND UP?

Today's
fundamentalists try to tell us that the Crusaders, the Inquisitors, the Black
Hundreds and other Christians of the sword were not Real Christians. However, now
is the time to have a look at church history to see from where today's
fundamentalists really come.
“Revival,”
the dazzling awareness of the gospel and all that it teaches, has been felt by
certain people in every generation. When a person experiences revival, he is
“enlightened” by the gospel message and becomes inflamed by an overwhelming
desire to spread the good news. He feels it 'burning in his soul' and he is
driven to respond with vigorous action.
In
early days, as church history records, a priest or a monk, a bishop or a Pope
became so enflamed by his beliefs that he converted whole parishes and villages
and towns. The simple peasant who could not read the Bible for himself would
take the evangelist's word for it, and in order to do penance for his sins he
followed his G-d intoxicated leader to wrest the holy land from the infidels
and to avenge the blood of Jesus. Thus this evangelical revival triggered
off the Crusades in which thousands of Jews were butchered by the unruly mobs.
They came to us with a cross in one hand and a sword in the other saying,
“Kiss the cross or my sword will kiss you!” and found justification from the
gospel that had filled them with zeal. After all, Jesus said, “I came not to bring peace, but a sword”
(Matt 10.34). In later years the Dominican fanatic, Vincent Ferrer,
became revived by the gospel and would burst into a synagogue on Shabbat and
stand with a Torah scroll in one hand a cross in the other and force Jews to
hear his gospel sermon.
Torquemada
became so enflamed with the gospel that he could not bear those nominal
Christians and eminent theologians of his day who were engrossed in theology
and commentaries. He wanted people who, like himself, would take the gospel
literally. So, as the revival fires spread, so did the fire of the Inquisition,
and turning to the scriptures, the Inquisitors found justification in the words
of Jesus, “If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch and
men gather them and cast them into the fire” John 15.6.
Martin
Luther was fired with evangelical zeal. He was inspired by visions and
with missionary fervor he translated the Bible into the common language of
the people and fanned a revival protest movement against the grip of the
Catholic church. Luther believed that his reformed Christianity would win the
Jews, then when his fundamental evangelical approach failed to win them, he
wrote a book called Of
Jews and their Lies in 1543 which accused Jews of ritual
murder, well poisoning and black magic. He concluded: “What should we
Christians do now with this contemptible, damned people the Jews? I will give
my true advice.
First,
that their synagogues and schools be set on fire.
Second,
that their houses similarly be razed and destroyed, for they practice the same
ill things in them as in their schools.
Third,
that their prayer books and talmudics be taken from
them.
Fourth,
that their rabbis be forbidden on peril of their lives henceforth to teach,
that safe conduct and the right to earn a living be entirely taken from them and
precious things such as they have be stolen from them.”
From
Luther's Reformation came the Protestant church with a wide range of
denominations, each founded by gospel-intoxicated men with their own individual
interpretation of the Bible. By the seventeenth century the church began to
lose its hold on the masses when the Bible was translated into the tongue of
the common man.
Today's
spirit-filled, born-again holy rollers fail to realize that they are not the
first people to become enflamed and revived by the gospels. They try to
disassociate themselves from the Christians of the sword. They tell us that
those were not Real Christians.
Is
this accurate? Let us take a look at English History. For example, in the days
of Cromwell, revival sprang up in
Lord
Shaftsbury, an Anglican, caught the winds of revival a couple of centuries
later and as the revival fires spread across Britain, the British Foreign Bible
Society was born, not of non-conformists, but of Bishops, Archbishops, priests
and laymen who are the kind of people described by our missionary friends as
Not Real Christians. These Not Real Christians, these Churchmen whose churches
broke away from other Not Real Christians, namely the Catholic Inquisitors and
Crusaders, now following the Not Real Christian Luther, established not only
the British and Foreign Bible Society but also the Religious Tract Society, the
Church Missionary Society, the London Society for promoting Christianity among
the Jews, whose president was Sir Oswald Mosely, a
rabidly anti-black, anti-Semitic fascist. From the British and Foreign Bible
Society come most Bible translations which every missionary uses. They were
sponsored by the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Archbishop of York, 23 Bishops
and nearly all the Episcopal bench, all Not Real Christians.
Today's
Real Christians read, treasure, preach and live their lives according to the
words of a little book of lies that has for many, many centuries lain in the
hands of those they describe as Not Real Christians. They base their whole hope
of “salvation” on a book that has been transmitted and translated by Not Real
Christians.
But
we see from a brief glance at the history of Christianity that the revival
movements of the past were led by men with the very same Bible-intoxicated
mentality as that of today's missionaries. Crusaders were Bible-intoxicated.
The Inquisitors were Bible-intoxicated, as was Martin Luther and the Black
Hundreds. We see that today's Real Christians are the same people as
yesterday's Not Real Christians by the fact that they have accepted the
decisions of the Not Real Christians church fathers.
Constantine,
an unbaptised pagan, convened the council of Nicea in the year 325 CE to secure by this body an
authoritative decision of Church beliefs, one of them being the nature of the
deity they worshipped. On their decision Jesus was changed from a man into
a god-in-the-flesh. Shabbat was changed from Saturday to Sunday. Passover was
changed to Easter, Shavuot to Pentecost, and the New Testament was canonized as
a holy book--despite all the lies and mistakes, despite the fact that none of
the gospels was written at the time of Jesus, and, according to Eusebius
himself, much of the text had been tampered with. Yet, the Real Christians of
today still accept the decisions passed by the Not Real Christians of
yesteryear.
A
Jew nor a Gentile with his head on his shoulders should not be deceived by
these missionaries. They are the same people. They have grown on the same tree
that was planted 2,000 years ago. Jesus aptly said, “Every good tree bringeth forth good fruit;
but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good
tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good
fruit.” (Matt
Many
Christians are honest enough to see that they come from the same corrupt church
and in their defense they quote the words of Paul, “In times of this ignorance,
God winked.” (Acts
"The day will come when
the mystical generation of Jesus, by the Supreme Being as His father, in the womb
of a virgin will be classed with the fable of the generation of Minerva in the
brain of Jupiter."
-Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826)
