JUST ONE QUESTIONABLE HISTORICAL ACCOUNT:

IS THE NEW TESTAMENT TRUTHFUL?

PREFACE:

This is dedicated to the 1961 “Rock & Roll” song by Bobby Vee ― “How Many Tears (Can You Cry)”

These verses keeps popping up whenever I study the Christian bible, as well as the so-called 'holy' texts of the other Abrahamic Derivative Religions (ADR)!

“How many lies can you can you count when you just can't sleep at night?
And how many lies can you count before your heart is free?
That's a question I'm still unable to answer
'Cause I'm still countin' the lies you told to me”

”There's just no end to all the broken promises that I recall
I was a fool to fall for you
It hurts to know you played a game and went and had yourself a ball
And through it all, made me blue”

The story of the man-god Jesus (god incarnate) as related in the Christian gospels and later Christian writings is filled with accounts that have no historical support at all (pure inventions, fabricated stories). The following example clearly illustrates this point,

HEROD'S DECREE

There is no historical record ― outside the Christian bible ― that Herod ever decreed all children ¹ (or males ²) to be killed ³at birth (Matthew 2.16) or ever committed these alleged acts. Such a monstrous event would certainly have been recorded by historians alive at that time. Even Josephus Flavius (37-100 CE), a renowned Jewish historian, who chronicled events during that very period in history, makes no mention of any such decree by Herod, much less any actual killings.

At the time when Christianity claims Herod's decree was supposedly issued, there was great political unrest in the land. Such a decree would have surely sparked a Jewish rebellion. Yet, no account of such rebellion is found. History records that Herod was loathed during his reign, and many far less evil acts that Herod committed were carefully recorded in several historical sources. An act this evil and of this magnitude ― killing all children (or boys) ― would never have been left out of any account in which Herod was involved.

Additionally, a most convincing proof of the fabrication of that event ― Herod’s slaughter ― is the fact that, according to the Christianity’s own New Testament in the Gospel of Luke, Herod was dead before Jesus was even born. This is just one of many examples that reveals how far the unknown authors of the Christian bible went to propagate their new religion.

Any intelligent and honest person can clearly see that the New Testament is not the work of any god ― Invisible Man in the Sky, ― but pure fiction; no more, no less. It is just as valid as the “Memoirs of the Tooth Fairy” or “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.” Blind faith does not create truth. Biblical fiction also includes the Old Testament upon which Christianity built it's myth; starting with a 6-day creation of the universe; to a cunning, walking talking snake; a giant fish tale; global floods; slavery; misogyny and bigotry ― all wrapped in mass murders of children women and men.

2. In the New King James Version the editors “cleaned up” the dumb remark of “ALL Children” which incorporated girls as well as boys. This was a simple fix; they just inserted “MALE” in the verse. It now reads:

16 Then Herod, when he saw that he was deceived by the wise men, was exceedingly angry; and he sent forth and put to death all the male children who were in Bethlehem and in all its districts, from two years old (i.e. 35 months and under) and under, according to the time which he had determined from the wise men.

It is amusing that Christian editors would take 371 years to get around to changing the claimed Holy Ghost inspired King James Version

But which is right ― the 371 year old King James Version or the 1982 New King James Version? If the latter, where was the Holy Ghost while the erroneous “ALL Children” was reported for almost 400 years? If the former was truly inspired, why do modern editors change the inspired words given by the Holy Ghost?

The truth is – neither bible version is correct. This is a fiction, invented by Christianity and not supported by any history recorded on our planet earth.
